Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs) are competitive summer research programs in the United States designed for undergraduates pursuing studies in science, engineering or mathematics.
These programs are funded by the National Science Foundation and are conducted at several universities. REUs are often focused on a specific scientific discipline and exist in numerous fields, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, biology, psychology and computer science.
