Global perspectives, local impact: Meet USF鈥檚 inaugural global leadership council scholars

Four juniors from the Judy Genshaft Honors College have been selected as the inaugural President鈥檚 Global Leadership Council Scholars in recognition of their academic excellence, campus leadership and international engagement.

Each of the inaugural scholars brings a unique story, shaped by culture, travel and personal and professional goals.

The President鈥檚 Global Leadership Council was created in 2024 to gather the collective expertise of 91视频alumni whose career achievements include leading multinational corporations and major institutions around the world. Members of the council provide strategic advice and counsel to 91视频leadership through roundtables, corporate partnerships, networking and events. 

Each of the inaugural scholars brings a unique story, shaped by culture, travel and personal and professional goals.

Joao Dapper

Originally from Brazil, Joao has maintained a 4.0 GPA while pursuing a double major in quantitative economics & econometrics and supply chain management. Joao is currently helping to lead the organizing effort for BRASA Connect, an annual conference hosted on the Tampa campus that brings together Brazilian-American professionals from all over the country.

Calvin Pham

A global business major, Calvin is inspired by his family鈥檚 heroic legacy from the Vietnam War and is committed to making a global impact at 91视频and beyond. Calvin has served as a Peer Mentor in the Muma College of Business and as an Honors Peer Mentor and Marketing Assistant in the Judy Genshaft Honors College. Last summer, Calvin honed his Spanish language skills in Salamaca, Spain.

Adrianna O. Soto

A double major in biomedical sciences and public health, Adrianna is headed to medical school. Adriana ha was motivated to add a major in public health to her studies as the result of a 91视频study abroad experience to the Dominican Republic where she learned about the community impact of public health efforts. She has also served as a USF Study Abroad GloBull Ambassador where she shared her passion for the transformative nature of global engagement.

Hunter Smith

A supply chain management major with a minor in risk management, Hunter had never traveled abroad until he connected with the 91视频Education Abroad team. A three-time traveler, Hunter enrolled in the Honors College program, Confronting the Holocaust, which traveled to Germany and Poland in the summer of 2024. He previously participated in study abroad programs in Japan and France and served as a 91视频Study Abroad GloBull Ambassador, discussing the many benefits of study abroad with his peers.
