NSF Grant Awarded to Dr. Yavuz of USF鈥檚 Engineering Computer Science Department for SATUQ Project
Dr. Attila A. Yavuz of USF鈥檚 Computer Science and Engineering Department has been awarded a $364,117 NSF grant to advance cybersecurity for integrated satellite-terrestrial networks. His SATUQ project focuses on quantum-resistant cryptography and decentralized security to safeguard critical infrastructure and emerging tech like 6G.

USF鈥檚 CyberHerd was formed by the College of Engineering's Department of Computer Science & Engineering. This was the team's first time at the summit and they achieved 2nd and 3rd place at the 2024 Aviation Information Sharing and Analysis Center (A-ISAC) Cybersecurity Summit.

Dr. Yucelen Recognized as Highly Ranked Scholar & Top Cited Scientist in 2024
Dr. Tansel Yucelen, associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at (USF) was named a Highly Ranked Scholar by ScholarGPS, ranking third in Adaptive Control and 154th in Control Theory, and has also been recognized as one of the top 2% of the most cited scientists worldwide in Stanford/Elsevier's annual citation ranking.

Dr. Olukemi Akintewe, an Associate Professor of Instruction in Medical Engineering at the University of 91视频 (USF) College of Engineering, has been selected as an inaugural Emerging Leader by the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE).
