The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) hosted its first CSD Lab Trick-or-Treat Tour, bringing nearly 40 undergraduate students into the PCD building for an afternoon of exploration, discovery, and Halloween fun.

Students had the opportunity to grab a treat while going through the scavenger hunt.
Michele Arnold, PhD, AuD, associate professor in CSD, organized the event, while graduate students Michelle Rodriguez and Fiorella Wu Cam created a scavenger hunt featuring participating labs, demonstrations, music, treats, and festive decorations. Students who completed the hunt were entered into a raffle for gift cards and enjoyed pizza.
Participating labs included the Neurophysiology of Aging Lab, Speech Perception and Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory, Speech Motor Systems Lab, Pediatric Auditory Experience and Brain Lab, Auditory Behavioral Research Lab, Auditory Rehabilitation & Clinical Trials Lab and several others across the department.
Faculty and graduate students opened their doors to introduce undergraduates to hands-on research and inspire future scholars in communication sciences and disorders. The event鈥檚 success sparked requests from both students and faculty to make the Lab Trick-or-Treat Tour an annual tradition.
