A.J. Chauradia, PhD, assistant professor of instruction in the School of Management within the Muma College of Business, co-authored the paper with doctoral student Pavan Kulkarni and international business scholar Snehal Awate. The team examined how rhetoric around reshoring 鈥 when companies bring manufacturing and production operations back to its home country 鈥 aligns with corporate behavior in the automotive industry, finding that firms continue to offshore for both labor savings and robotic automation.
鈥淭he AIB (Academy of International Business) conference was a valuable opportunity to receive feedback from leading scholars on our research,鈥 Chauradia said. 鈥淪haring the stage with my doctoral student and engaging with international colleagues helped strengthen both the quality of our work and, more importantly, reinforce our academic relationships.鈥
The paper was presented at the annual AIB conference, hosted this year at the Omni Louisville Hotel. The event featured plenaries, panels and peer-reviewed paper presentations, with a Kentucky Derby-inspired reception.
Chauradia said the experience highlighted USF鈥檚 growing presence in global academic circles. 鈥淚t鈥檚 always exciting to see how 91视频can share ideas across the country,鈥 he added.
